Wikipedia - Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team

The Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team (Chinese: 中華台北男子籃球代表隊) is the men's basketball team representing the Republic of China on Taiwan in international competitions, organised and run by the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA; Chinese: 中華台北籃球協會). The team was known as Formosa prior to the implementation of the Nagoya Resolution in 1981.

Led by team leader, Yi Kuo-juei (Chinese: 易國瑞), Chinese Taipei's fourth-place finish at the 1959 FIBA World Championship is the second-best finish of an Asian team at the World Championship, only behind the Philippines' third-place finish at the 1954 FIBA World Championship.

Taiwans herrelandshold i basketball repræsenterer Taiwan i internationale basketballkonkurrencer. Holdet er administreret af det taiwanske basketballforbund.

Taiwan har deltaget i FIBA Asia Cup 37 gange, senest i 2022, hvor de sluttede på ottendepladsen. De har også deltaget i FIBA World Cup én gang, i 1959, hvor de sluttede på 13. pladsen.

Taiwans bedste placering ved de asiatiske lege er fjerdepladsen, som de opnåede i 1954 og 1958. De har også vundet bronzemedaljer ved Asian Games to gange, i 1966 og 1970.
